Our mission is to provide food, and personal or household supplies to meet the immediate needs of anyone who requests our services. We also provide information about other resources to our clients, and gather information about the needs of vulnerable populations in our community. We all build collaborative relationships with individuals and organizations to help meet the basic needs of everyone in our community. We are all fortunate to live in a community that believes that none of our neighbors in crisis should have to choose between paying medical bills and buying food, and who realize there is no safety net for those who have lost their jobs and are no longer qualified to receive unemployment benefits. Many of our good neighbors have been donating generously to the Community Food Pantry, and making a difference in the lives of their neighbors in crisis. The work of the many food pantry volunteers, the donations from good citizens, and groups make this possible. This year we were able to meet increasing needs, improve the nutritional variety of foods offered, purchase more donated and salvage foods from the Regional Food Bank, and create partnerships with local farmers and producers. We think our patrons do their part to help us conserve resources, they take pride in coming in only when they are in need.
